Rest in piece, Lindsay Leonard.

A very close friend of mine, Lindsay Leonard died last night.
Here is some info from her mothers post about it, in case you knew her and hadn't heard.

For those of you who haven't heard. I received a call from Laura Wensley (Alumni Relations, Webb) this morning. Lindsay Alysse Leonard, Webb class of '04, Reed class of '08, passed away over the weekend in Oregon. She was crossing the street with her roommate, Jessica Finlay, when they were both hit by a car. Jessica is in the hospital in critical condition, but Lindsay was killed instantaneously at the scene.

Please spread the word to anyone you know who'd need to hear about this. Lindsay was one of the most vivacious, fair-minded, beautiful, intelligent, fantastic women in the world. Entire world. I know people always say that when someone passes, but if you knew her at all, you know it's truer about her than it ever was about anyone else. She was a scientist and an artist, a mover and a shaker, she was simply beyond description.

I'll be putting up a memorial group as soon as I finish letting everyone know. Contact info for her family--emails, you know--will go there.

http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=174708973864&ref=mf

She was an amazing woman, unlike anyone I'd ever met before. She'll be missed, more than words can describe.

Man I never post these anymore.

OK.

Stuff.

Last night was awesome. We went to a thrash type party in N portland, then over to SE for some hipster that Rob knows party which was fun, then we got invited to Reed College for a party which ended up being gigantic. We were joined by Nick 'n Nat and good times were had. Geddon was eventually accosted by a student when he came out of the bathroom, and she got security because we weren't students. The girl who invited us defended us from the good cop and bad cop, and we were eventually let be. She kept arguing with the security guards though, and they were keeping an eye on us during the night. Eventually we all parted ways, and some of us ended up at Jens place for some good ole fashioned raging. Eventually we made our way back home, at about... 6? I'm surprisingly not hungover for how much we drank. Probably thanks partially to the many stops for fast food.

Agalloch on friday was awesome. Hot damn. I wish they had played more stuff off The Mantle, but other than that they were just plain incredible. The ambiance in Berbatis gave me an idea and that idea involves Star Wars and if it were to actually happen it would be AWESOME.

Looks like I'm gonna participate in National Novel Writing Month (nanowrimo.org). Kevin brought it up, and I figured, why not. Gives me a kick in the pants to finally pen down that idea for a story i've had bouncing around in my head for a month or two.

Women confuse the ever lovin' hell out of me. I really just don't get em sometimes.

An end to Ft Jawesome parties?

Has the world seen the last of Fort Jawesome parties?
We got a paper from the manager today, saying that if we ever have any more complaints, we're evicted. The complaint included people running around, people knocking on doors, people yelling, beer bottles in the stairwells (i though I had cleaned those up the next morning), and two fucked up door knobs.

Wuh oh.

Zombie help

Alright kiddos, we're planning a sort of Resident Evil style mission for the Zombie Hunters and maybe the survivors. And I'm gonna be planning it throughout this week. I'm gonna need the help of say around 5 dedicated zombies. Maybe another person who'd be willing to be the Resident Evil 4 Merchant (NOT ENOUGH CASH, STRANGER).

I'm still working out the logistics and rules, but if there's anyone willing to be involved as an NPC for a few hours at the beginning of the party, it'd be super rad.

Also if you have spare zombie makeup, or are good at zombie sort of effects, or BOTH, and wouldn't mind helping out, that would be incredible.

Oh, and if you have spare the following things
-typewriter
-prop guns (fake, can even look kinda silly)
-health sprays
-red and green herbs
-G.Launcher
And you wouldn't mind us using them for about 2 hours, that'd be rad!

E-mail me at Forcedplastic@gmail.com if you're interested. Thanks much!

FUCK YEAH! or A remake I don't hate the idea of.

Normally I hate remakes, but this I can get behind.

From Wiki....

"in 2008, Summit Entertainment announced that it had bought the rights to the Highlander franchise and are planning to remake the original movie with a release date of 2010. ActorKevin Mckidd is said to be in talks to play Conner Macleod. while Justin Lin and Neal H.Moritz have signed on to direct and produce respectively. The remake is being written by the men behind the mega hit Iron Man."

A MILLION TIMES YES.

How we got stuck in Fort Jawesome that one time

Or
Groggy before work journal post.

Inquiring minds seem curious, so long story short: My neighbor came over to watch True Blood, few hours later he tried to leave, and the handle to our front door wouldn't turn. We tried many different things, including attempting to remove the doorknob completely, and pulling the pins out of the hinges, but nothing worked. Without the emergency number for the manager we were trapped... in Fort Jawesome. Eventually my neighbor had the bright idea to call the barber shop across the street which our upstairs neighbor owns, he called the lockout guy, and after a few more attempts to open the door, eventually the lockout guy had to straight up bash our door in.
It was kind of ridiculous, never heard of someone being trapped inside their apartment. We celebrated our freedom by walking to safeway.

LATER THAT NIGHT

Played the first game of Lord of the Rings the board game with Rob Ian and Jon. Sauron ate our shit up in no time, didn't even make it past Helms Deep. God dammit I love that game.

Finally heard some Isis. Really dug it. Rad.

God damn. Insane-o-tron.
Looks like I'm going to be lacking a roommate come June.
Which is bad.
Anyone want to live in the livingroom at Fort Jawesome? Its huge and awesome. And rent is cheap.

But I'm not going to worry about that now.
Cause I'm on my way to

PAGANFEST
